What does our community need to help more people find meaningful work and help local employers build the workforce they need?

That's a conversation we can have better when we're all in the room together.

Join Strengthen LA for our annual retreat - a free, interactive day bringing together employers, workforce professionals, community organizations, educators, service providers, and others who care about strengthening career opportunities across Lewiston-Auburn and the surrounding region.

We'll take a look at where Strengthen LA has been, what we've learned through our work with career seekers and employers, and what we're hearing from the community today. Then we'll work together to identify gaps, uncover opportunities, and determine where Strengthen LA can add the most value moving forward.

This isn't just a day to hear about Strengthen LA. It's a day to help shape it.

What we'll explore

The history and evolution of Strengthen LA and the work happening across the network
Real stories and examples of how Strengthen LA is supporting career seekers and employers
The workforce needs employers are experiencing and where community resources may not yet be meeting those needs
The resources, expertise, and connections already available within the Strengthen LA network and throughout our region
Gaps and opportunities in the local workforce development landscape
How we can better coordinate, collaborate, and connect across organizations
Shared priorities and opportunities for action in 2027

Through facilitated conversations and interactive exercises, we'll move from understanding the landscape to identifying what we can do about it together.
